Do you hold Public Liability Insurance ?

Yes, we hold £5million Public Liability Insurance. Please note that this only covers K3Uk Hire for the safe set up of the inflatables and equipment owned by K3Uk Hire,  it DOES NOT cover the hirer, separate insurance would be required to cover the hirer.

Are your castles/inflatables tested ?

YES ! Our Bouncy castles will/are tested under European Standard EN14960 (current version), we are required to have all inflatables tested by a competent person at regular intervals, rather like a car has an MOT. The HSE through its endorsement of the PIPA tagging scheme, deems that an RPII inspector is a competent person. PLEASE NOTE that PIPA only covers items whose use are for 'bouncing or sliding on', which covers bouncy castles, inflatable slides and obstacle courses. As standard all new inflatables will be under a year old and therefore covered by the manufacturers 'Certificate of Compliance', again rather like not having to MOT a brand new car. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be more than happy to help explain.

What training do you have ?

All members under K3Uk Hire Operate under the Operator and guidelines that are current under U.K laws, and are covered by the P.V.G Scheme membership.

Can I cancel my booking for bad weather ?

Yes of course. Please refer to our Terms and conditions for more information about fees and cancellations.

Will my booking be cancelled for bad weather ?

We CANNOT set up any inflatable when the wind speed forecast including gusts exceeds 24 mph as per the Met Office website. We monitor closely the forecast before each booking, and will attempt to give you as much notice as possible should the forecast begin to look unfavourable on the day of your booking. We do not take this decision lightly as we appreciate how much planning will have gone into your event/party, but it is made to ensure the safety of you and your guests, and our decision in this matter is final.

How long is the hire for ?

For outdoor hires we aim to deliver your castle between 3-12 hours prior, and start our collections from 5 pm. Please note we cannot guarantee a collection time later than 5 pm, so if your event goes on longer than that you will need to select the overnight option if it is available on the item(s) you have chosen. For indoor hires we will deliver and collect at the times you have requested as long as you have received confirmation from us by email. Again collections after 5 pm cannot be guaranteed and selecting overnight is not always an option, please call us to confirm this before booking.

Do you hire overnight ?

Yes, there is an extra charge for this. The venue needs to be secure, and our assessment is final.

I only want the equipment for 2 hours, can I get a discount ?

We offer a range of options, which has proven to be the most favourable options for our customers.

How much space does the equipment take up ?

On our hire page we list the actual size of the equipment, and the space required for it, if you're in any doubt please contact us to check.

My garden is on a slope, is that ok ?

If the slope is less than 5 degrees, then yes, if you are unsure we can, dependant on your location, check for you. If you're still unsure, call us please.

Where can a bouncy castle be sited ?

It can go anywhere pegs can be used so it can't go on concrete, loc block, slabs, decking or tarmac. If you have chuckies or astro turf, as long as you are happy for us to use pegs, then we can do it. Castles have a minimum of six pegs and each peg will leave two small holes. (we have an option for weights to be used on hard surfaces but this will be charged extra as we require ground sheets to protect the goods also)

Can a Bouncy castle be used indoors ?

Yes, all our castles can be used indoors, providing there is sufficient ceiling height, please check our Products page for each castle's requirements.

Is there a booking fee ?

We require a non-refundable booking fee (dependant on hired item/s), this will be deducted from the total due.

Where do you deliver to ?

We deliver all over Aberdeen and most of Aberdeenshire. Delivery is free to certain areas. You will be given the delivery charges upon your quotation.

What access do you need ?

Our equipment are commercial grade, and as such are large and heavy. Our deliveries/collections are usually made by one person, and require access to the venue via an opening of at least 760mm. If that's not possible, DON'T worry, just let us know so we can arrange for a two person delivery/collection team, a small charge may be applicable.

I've got steps, is that a problem ?

Our deliveries are usually made by one person, and about 4 steps isn't a problem. If any more, then please let us know in advance so we can allocate a two person delivery/collection team, a small charge may be applicable.

I've got no outside access, is that a problem ?

Generally not, as long as you let us know when booking so we can supply a two person delivery/collection team, a small charge may be applicable.

What power supply does the equipment need ?

All we need is a normal 240v power supply within 40m of the equipment location, and we provide the extension leads with an RCD adaptor.

Does the Bouncy Castle fan need to stay on/how much does it cost  ?

Yes, the fan needs to stay on the whole time the castle is in use, and costs roughly 30p-35p per hour, depending on your tariff/supplier. (as of May 2022)

We haven't access to a power supply, is that a problem ?

No, as long as you can provide a generator. These can be hired locally, you will need a minimum of 4Kva per castle, we are in talks about providing these at an additional cost in the future.

How long does it take to set up/take down the castle ?

Generally it takes between 15-20 minutes to set up a Bouncy castle, and the same to take it down, depending on distance from our vehicle. Generally it takes between 40-60 mins to set up a Basic Bell tent, and the same to dismantle.

Can I collect the castle myself ?

No, our Public Liability Insurance requires that the castle is set up correctly by one of our trained employees.

Do you supervise the castles ?

No, our price only includes delivery, free set up, and collection after the event has finished, if you require supervision, please get in touch and we can get a quotation with your requirements.

How can I pay ?

We accept cash, card, or BACS, please message us for details.

Are you members of any Trade groups ?

Yes, we are currently members of the BIHA & TIPE, and our castles are PIPA tested.

What if it rains during my party ?

Some of our castles have built in sun/shower covers, so if a light shower the castle is still useable, as long as the front step is kept as dry as possible. If the rain is heavier, or it becomes a thunderstorm, then you will need to stop the use of the inflatable but LEAVE THE INFLATABLE UP, as this will reduce the time it takes the inflatable to dry out and allow safe use again once the rain stops. However the extension cable will be required to be covered and protected against water ingress.

Do you provide safety mats ?

Yes, we provide safety mats for all hires, whether outdoors or indoors, along with full operating instructions for the safe use of the castle.
